Everbridge to Showcase IoT Critical Communication Applications Integrated Directly with Access Control Systems at ASIS 2015

BURLINGTON, Mass., September 28, 2015 — Everbridge, a global provider of SaaS-based unified critical communications solutions, today announced it will be exhibiting its new IoT capabilities with the ability to extend device-to-device communication to the necessary people when action is required, at ASIS 2015, Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, 2015 in Anaheim, CA.

In booth #401 throughout the event, Everbridge will showcase the Secure Connected Badging Solution, which demonstrates how critical communication applications can integrate directly with access control systems, as well as other workplace safety devices. The solution collects access control data and can provide a real-time roll-call report of people in the building. During a critical event, such as a building evacuation, Everbridge can automatically reach out to the employees who are badged into the building.

In addition to helping with visitor and employee access management, the Secure Connected Badging Solution can reduce security risk and automatically notify the correct security team members if an old or invalid badge is used by a specific individual or to gain entry to a specific area.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our team to introduce our IoT capabilities to some of the most experienced security professionals in the world,” said Claudia Dent VP, Product Management, Everbridge. “We look forward to launching our IoT capabilities and the Secure Connected Badging Solution, which enable organizations to connect devices to our sophisticated communications engine. These solutions provide the context and critical alerts needed to leverage devices to connect to the right people, at the right time, to prioritize safety and to safeguard resources.”

In addition to highlighting the strength and scalability of the Everbridge platform and the company’s enterprise applications at its booth, Everbridge is also a sponsor of ASIS 2015. Everbridge will be joined in the booth by IoT partner, braXos Security Software. Steward, offered by BraXos’s middleware platform, facilitates integration between S2 Access Control systems and Everbridge to establish the Secure Connected Badging Solution.

In addition to S2 Access Controls, Everbridge has customer-lead integration options with other leading access control systems.
