Everbridge Text Alerts to Help Keep March for Our Lives Attendees Safe and Informed

Residents and Visitors Encouraged to Text “MARCH24” to 888-777 to Receive Critical Safety, Traffic and Event Alerts Throughout Saturday’s Event

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 21, 2018-- Everbridge, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVBG), the global leader in critical event management and enterprise safety software applications to help keep people safe and businesses running faster, today announced that the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA), in partnership with the United States Park Police (USPP), will be using its Community Engagement technology to share critical safety information with the more than half a million visitors and residents planning to take part in the upcoming March for Our Lives event.

Demonstrators and visitors heading to Washington, D.C. this weekend to rally for gun control and school safety measures in the wake of recent deadly shootings are encouraged to text “MARCH24” to 888-777, which will enable them to receive free public safety and event alerts on their phones throughout the weekend. Text messages may range from information about road closures and detours, to transit updates, to real-time safety updates in the event of an emergency.

March for Our Lives is scheduled to take place on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 3rd Street and 12th Street, beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
